Four-Month Immersion in Software Engineering
Adult Skills Academy
The DAE Adult Skills Academy provides a four-month immersion in Software Engineering where students, ages 18 - 28, will learn to build multiple websites and web apps culminating in a capstone projects of their choice.
Students will also gain skills in how to build products that people will actually benefit from and want to use, as well as how to communicate their ideas in a way that makes people want to buy their products or hire them to build digital products for them.
Experience Beyond the Classroom
This isn't your typical classroom experience: students will learn by doing rather than just sitting in a classroom listening. In fact, we don't even have traditional classrooms. Students' days will be spent working on real projects on state-of-the-art equipment in a highly collaborative and creative environment.

At the conclusion of the four months, students will have a tangible portfolio of projects demonstrating their ability to bring value to the workplace and potential for an additional two-month internship with a local business.
