Full Stack Software Engineering Program / Certificate*
Cohorts starting in January, June, and September 2021
*Curriculum licensed through Holberton School. New Haven campus is owned and operated independently of all other Holberton locations and in alignment with DAE’s vision and mission. Licensed through the Office of Higher Education.
Intensive tech-focused training dedicated to developing a diverse and inclusive workforce able to successfully keep up with the evolving tech industry, specifically as it relates to software engineering.
DAE’s Full-Stack Software Engineering Program / Certificate is uniquely positioned to offer a technical education with a focus on preparing students for meaningful data and digital-centric careers that serve humanity, build community, and deepen health and prosperity for all.
In addition to the software engineering curriculum, New Haven students have access to the DAE personal and professional development programming that has been delivered to thousands of business professionals in companies such as IBM, J&J, Novartis, and Facebook. Specific programs include: Influence & Interpersonal Effectiveness, Organizational & Social Change, and Leadership. They also have opportunities to pay-it-forward and participate in various community activities.
Speaking of community, our campus is located within District New Haven, a comprehensive ecosystem designed to support and inspire people and businesses. With amenities like a full-service fitness center, a walking trail, and an onsite restaurant, students are able to learn, work, and play in an inclusive environment of entrepreneurs and established professionals.
Outside of campus, students will find there is no shortage of opportunities and experiences to take advantage of. In addition to being in a prime location between New York City and Boston, Connecticut is known for innovation and is home to an eclectic group of high performing companies from the largest hedge funds to the aerospace industry. As the second-largest city in the state, New Haven itself boasts a vibrant local scene with foodie culture, arts, entertainment, and innovative start-ups. It is also home to five universities, including Yale, providing a true college-town feel. And with four of the best pizzerias in America, there’s plenty of great pizza to keep you going.
Instead of sitting through lectures, students participate in intensive project-based peer-learning to become highly skilled software engineers. Through increasingly complex programming challenges, students develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills—along with the ability to research, understand, and apply new concepts—in order to successfully keep up with the evolving tech industry.
